Lagonissi

Lagonissi is 20 minutes east of the Athens airport and home to a number of deluxe resorts. The island’s name translates to Rabbit Island though today there is not a rabbit in sight. Once a seaside village, Lagonissi is home to some of the better hotels and resorts in the area. The hotels of the area are set up for large conferences, and many international companies use town’s complexes for their company conventions. The waterfront has a many good restaurants and down the coast some good beaches and the township is a lovely place to get away from the throng and look over the gulf of Salamis to Aegina.
